trash culture's anti-moralism is the same claim as "art for art's sake" reifying the old bourgeoise value of a "pure" aesthetic

i.e "art for art's sake" claims to be motivated by purely aesthetic concerns when in reality it is political, taking bourgeois values, taste, etc as natural or transcendental occurrences

they seem "dethatched" from material concerns when in reality there actions are highly class/economical
