We also need to stop all this anonymous briefing to the media. Politicians need to own their views or be quiet and get on with the job we pay them to do.

Local Authority staff are rightly not permitted to accept any 'gifts' for the obvious reason. It is long overdue for this rule to apply to all politicians too. Political parties should be allocated state funding and donations prohibited. Time to clean up our political system.

Very good piece by Gordon Brown. I agree with it but would add proportional voting for the HoC to end safe seats and the cosiness that accompanies them. We have no equality without democratic equality. All votes should matter.
