Today there was an attempted ICE raid in Bensonhurst & community members showed up. Even though NYPD collaborated with ICE by trying to disburse the crowd; community members stood their ground & ICE left without kidnapping a single person per the rapid response groups I'm on. We protect us!

4 frame comic. a street journalist asks a woman : miss! do you think
antisemitism is being
normalized, considering
how new yorkers elected
someone such as zohran
mamdani?
She replies :
what normalizes anti-
semitism is giving neo-nazi
holocaust denier nick fuentes
a platform, like tucker carlson
did with the endorsement of
the president of the heritage
foundation, the most influential
conservative think tank.
what normalizes antisemitism
is draining it of its meaning,
like when the anti-defamation
league calls any empathy towards
Palestinians or any critique
of israel "antisemitism," while
excusing Elon Musk for doing
a literal nazi salute at a
presidential inauguration.
lastly, what feeds into the
cynicism that allows anti-
semitism to be normalized
is when it is weaponized
against muslims and used to
attack dissident jewish
voices.

It is being normalized. Just not how they want us to believe.

"Quiet, Piggy." He's said horrible things, worse than this, but I keep thinking about this moment since reading about it and seeing the video. The contempt, the sheer malice in his words, tone, and gesture. This is an angry, dangerous, loathsome person and more people need to call out this behavior.

The political media's muted reaction to this story is an incredible "frog in boiling water" moment.

Any person in any business or organization would be immediately fired for this. No questions, no process. Just out on your ass.

Larry Summers can't suffer a consequence for being buddies with the most notorious sex criminal in modern history. What would be next? Chuck Schumer resigning for leading a serially-losing caucus? Rahm Emanuel not getting another TV interview? Olivia Nuzzi being forced to leave journalism?

You know, if the press refused to report him after this kind of thing, he would stop.

Some 19th century journalists did this to a threatening congressman. It worked.

Fifa agrees World Cup matches can be moved at Trump’s request The president has been warning host cities under Democratic control that he will call on Fifa’s president to switch venues if he deems there is a problem

I will not be buying any World Cup tickets or merchandise due to FIFA’s collaboration with the Trump regime.

“More than seven decades later, the 79-year-old Sanford grandfather – still a man without a country – found himself in legal limbo in the Alligator Alcatraz detention camp in the Everglades, picked up on a decades-old deportation order authorities had previously chosen not to enforce.”

Sanford grandfather, born in refugee camp, nabbed by ICE after 70 years in U.S. Paul Bojerski never gained official residency, but he checked in regularly with ICE for years. Then in July, at age 79, he was detained and sent to Alligator Alcatraz.

79-year-old Paul Bojerski was born to Polish parents in a WWII German refugee camp. His family legally emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5.

He’s been taken by ICE in Florida.

To process those applications again is going to cost so much time and money. They are spending money to starve people. And given the level of corruption, I have no doubt that applications with names indicating certain backgrounds will be conveniently "misplaced" for weeks if not months or years.

I was laid off in the spring and applied for SNAP benefits. It took over six months to finally get approved for $60 a month. By the time I was approved, I’d found a new job and didn’t need the benefits. I also live alone; feeding myself wasn’t a big issue. That won’t be the case with many recipients

I keep saying this, but it's important for folks to understand: the disruption to the delivery of benefits, the impact on folks, the pain, the risk of starvation: these are policy goals of the Trump administration.

The shutdown was just the excuse at the time. They want to starve poor folks.

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

Gregory Bovino is exactly who E.B. White — author of 'Charlotte's Web' — warned us about DHS named its North Carolina anti-immigrant effort "Operation Charlotte's Web." In 1940, White wrote of the "smell" that "rises" from those who "adjust to fascism" over freedom.

"(Hitler's) feeling for men is not that they co-exist, but that they are capable of being arranged and standardized by a superior intellect...." - E.B. White, author of Charlotte's Web

An insistence that power should follow "superiority" is essential to fascism.

It would be helpful if American schools taught kids that Hitler admired US racism and patterned many of his antisemitic laws on our anti-Black laws. Instead, we're teaching the Holocaust less altogether.

Hitler also admired American antisemites like Henry Ford. Bigots attract each other. . . .

We really need to stop allowing the fascists to dictate how we talk. They've openly said that even criticizing them is criminal. Anyone who isn't them is a "criminal" in their eyes. They don't believe in due process.

Literally no one deserves to be kidnapped off the street and disappeared

And a subhed that reads:

Kelly: "I think there is a difference. There's a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old."

Same thing with gun rights ppl, always intentionally missing the tragic, evil point. “15 grade schoolers were killed today with an AR-15 automatic rifle --“ “SEMI-automatic! SEMI-automatic! This is why we can't take you seriously on gun control!"

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power
