Have they changed the bus design? When I spent several years in London in the 1980/90s, I kept turning to thank the driver, and then realising they wouldn't hear me as the exit door was in the middle of the bus. It was such a relief to get back to single-door buses where I could be polite both ways.

My Thomas was really cross when we ate corn on the cob, because we were *obviously* gnawing bones, which he was normally allowed to have a go at when the humans had finished so, when we handed down what was left to show him what it was, we were *obviously* trying to fool him and hide the real bones.

My Sacred Harp group sang a song called Rainbow for Megan in tonight's session. It's basically about the value of God's rain, but I thought it tied in with the NHS and their end-of-life care. The pub cat wandered in and out of the room, which seemed appropriate.
