Wonder if I should suggest it to my local deli. Was horrified when I went in on Monday to find they were not only playing "It's the most wonderful time of the year" but singing along. And then I had to wait to be served because they were putting up Christmas decorations. A great way to keep me away.

Have they changed the bus design? When I spent several years in London in the 1980/90s, I kept turning to thank the driver, and then realising they wouldn't hear me as the exit door was in the middle of the bus. It was such a relief to get back to single-door buses where I could be polite both ways.

Under glowing green light on a black, industrial stage, two singers wearing flowing black clothes are lying entwined, stretching out toward the light.
Two performers reach towards each other, separated by gauze, their hands meeting with the barrier between them - the light above them glows pink with dark purple-blue shadows.
Under a sickly green-yellow light, are two performers, draped across each other.

Oh, I am sorry, I had missed the news of Tony's death until I saw your post about Aine today. It's not long since I was re-watching his episode of Blake's Seven in the Blu-ray release - a memorable performance.

My Thomas was really cross when we ate corn on the cob, because we were *obviously* gnawing bones, which he was normally allowed to have a go at when the humans had finished so, when we handed down what was left to show him what it was, we were *obviously* trying to fool him and hide the real bones.

My Sacred Harp group sang a song called Rainbow for Megan in tonight's session. It's basically about the value of God's rain, but I thought it tied in with the NHS and their end-of-life care. The pub cat wandered in and out of the room, which seemed appropriate.

I love the McKellen Richard III, but I'm also very fond of Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing (the plot makes a lot more sense when most of the characters appear to be permanently sloshed).
