They found Wi-Fi devices communicating with each other in a person's surroundings produce patterns based on radio waves that are similar to images captured by cameras. The individual does not need to have a Wi-Fi device in their possession, and special hardware is not needed to identify anyone in range of a wireless local area network.

In multiple user studies, we developed improvements for the different components of a verifiable online voting system. During the demo session, participants had the opportunity to cast their votes via the online voting system and to verify the accuracy of their votes using a second device.
