Wow, that looks bad, that T-Rex looks so "pasted in" against that sky, you'd think composites today would be photo quality by now.
I couldn't even make it through all of the trailer, it's a real easy skip.

Former ICE agent: My first day training new cadets, I received secretive orders to teach them to violate the Constitution by entering homes without a warrant. I watched ICE cut classes that teach our legal system, firearms training, use of force, lawful arrests, and the limits of officers' authority

23.02.2026 21:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I chuckled, but the CPS-2 platform is the home of a lot of the best fighting games ever made. Capcom supported the board all the way until 2019.
I remember the first time I got a CPS-2 emulator working right, it truly felt like we were doing something illegal spamming those quarters in with F5.
Happy #TillysGameversary π to Street Fighter 2 Turbo (1992).
Street Fighter 2 Turbo was the 349th version of Street Fighter 2.
After a class action lawsuit revealed all 563 versions were identical, Capcom executives were asked how they sleep at night, replying, βOn top of a pile of money.β

Yeah, same, even if this machine burst into flames right now, it's still the best value I've ever gotten out of a build.
23.02.2026 20:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Damn, it sounds like it might be a physical problem, trace between the CMOS and battery damaged or the CMOS itself has gone. It is my experience that most of modern PC's are robust against static discharge, with the exception of the BIOS CMOS. Desoildering those little fuckers is always scary for me
23.02.2026 20:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm on an aging X570 with a 5800X3D, and it's some fine wine, but my last upgrade was a 32GB kit of 3600MT CL 16, and ever since the last Win 10 update before EOL, I'm getting a "memory management" BSOD (but not while gaming) and I'm so terrified my RAM is bad I haven't even tested the DIMMs
23.02.2026 19:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Same, it's a horrible time to forced to build from system failure.
I feel for you.
My current gaming machine is aging real well, and I'm lucky, it can take me through the next year or two if I need, but I've realized what a board failure would mean right now.
The H7 was the case I chose for my next build, largely because of the price to performance, but I've put that build on hold until it's not an insane time to build and I changed my mind to the Silverstone FLP02, mostly for niche aesthetics

23.02.2026 01:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah, it was hit or miss with Shareware, but that whole era really stepped up gaming on PC, that gets big in 92 with Wolf 3D.
I got locked out of most of it though, as I wasn't able to build a 386 until 92, and our Tandy couldn't run half of the new games after 90. Loved both machines though.
Lode Runner (85) had such a huge impact on me because it was one of the few great ports to XT PCs (RIP Doug Smith), the level editor was genius and I hosted dozens of levels on my BBS that me and my friends made.
At the same time, my friends at school are playing SMB, Zelda, and Mega Man.
Sim City was released in 89, Doom in 93, OMF and WC in 94.
There was an entire decade of CGA/EGA PC gaming before then that was super weak if you were not into text parser adventure games. I was, I was a Sierra On-line super fan that got the mailer, because in a no console home, I had to be.

I bought my SNES second hand in secret in 92 and kept it hidden behind a TV. I was a kid who got the Sierra On-line mailer and ran a BBS on a 286, but the PC had NOTHING like the games I got to play.
