So anyway, the spiders have several minutes of air just because they don't really need as much as we mammals. Me? I never go to sleep without strapping on a rebreather.
I was caught up in some of the ship's plastic "webbing" but still one of the spiders leapt over to me and wrapped some silk on me.

So anyway, the bomb bay doors opened and the whole bay rabidly depressurized. There were a couple spiders in there with me and I thought they were gone for sure but both had planted some silk on the wall and they ended up like rock climbers hanging onto their ropes.

Because of the overloading of biologics on this spaceship I was trying to sleep in an area which I knew didn't have any safety bulwarks between me and the outside, but I was surprised to find out the huge containers were actually planet-crackers and I was in the bomb bay of the alien ship.

Say what you will about the giant sentient spiders on this spaceship but they're very good at dealing with zero-g.

Also, they think it's funny that we use the word "webbing" for the stuff we use to tie stuff down. At least I'm told they find it funny, they don't really laugh.
