That’s why I love Lovecraft pastiche, but not actual Lovecraft. I get to the end of one of his sentences, and I forget where I started.

Depends on your appetite for scenery chewing. And how nasal he’s being. That’s why I hated him in the first thing I ever saw him in, PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED. Then MOONSTRUCK changed my mind about him.

And which cut? It has to be the one where Howie stays two nights and Lord Summerisle watches two snails mating.

They had a few in front of that British-themed bar Telephone that used to be on 2nd Ave. I used to use one of the last working ones in 1991 London. Great for calling my parents in the US because the heavy door gave you some privacy and street sound blockage.

It was the new dictates for the opinion page that caused me to finally drop my subscription. I was only hanging on for Carolyn Hax, but that was a bridge too far.

It’s a wonderful museum. Last year they had a special exhibit from a Sami artist who does all her work in embroidery.

Oslo is awesome! Clean and gorgeous and everyone speaks English. If you have a break, go to the pop music museum and make an album cover! Or do an afternoon boat tour of the local fjords.

Well, but St. Sebastian actually survived being stuck full of arrows, which gives him an advantage over Boromir. I thought I’d been told that Sebastian was later stoned to death like St. Stephen was, but Wikipedia says he was beaten to death with cudgels.

Who’s paying Godzilla’s salary? How much are they making? I mean, is destroying Manhattan a hobby or is someone employing Godzilla to do it? So many questions!

I wish! I’m on a 3-year cadence (considered high risk for colon cancer). But it’s easier if you get the pills instead of those gross solutions.

Beautiful photo of an orange tabby tuxedo cat gazing out of a window with a crack in the glass. The wood trim on the window is an almost identical orange to the cat's coat. So much orange could be too much with no contrast but in this photo is works brilliantly.

Gorgeous photo from The Color Nature Library: CATS by Peggy Wratten, 1977. I can't find the photographer's name, unfortunately. None is noted anywhere in the book.

If you can find the British show HUSTLE (used to be on A&E years ago), that would probably be your vibe. A precursor to LEVERAGE, but this team of con artists is in it for themselves, not a noble cause.

Oops. I thought you meant the cat would get in the fiber. But handspinning cat fur would probably be tricky unless you have a longhair with very long hair, so to speak. The staple would be too short to spin well.
