Publish it again. Cite recent reporting, but republish the underlying article.

Agreed. I think with a few minor tweaks, and one big one (requiring zero cost voter IDs) the law would be a good thing. The requirements for states to work w/ feds to standardize Voting roll screening for citizenship is a good idea, and takes the wind out of the right wing arguments.

I reread the whole section after your comment, and you raise valid points for sure. I think this bill still has several flaws, this being one of them. Hopefully it gets filibustered in the Senate in current form. I do think long term we have to standardize Voting ID rules. Tired of GOP using this.

Section 2(j) of HR22 provides for a sworn affidavit to bypass these issues.

What's crazy is some in the House Freedom caucus want to trade a slight increase in corporate tax to offset personal income tax cuts, and the Senate finance committee said absolutely not. thehill.com/homenews/sen...

Oh. Would be a shame if everyone shared this everywhere while trump and Eric Adams try to work out a deal.

I have the same sense. If they felt they had successfully done a coup and overthrown the republic, I'd expect things to be very different. Ending filibuster in Senate, refusal to seat certain congressmen, etc. This feels very much like a smash and grab, with the hope to enshrine some in law later.

I worry that enabling a shutdown will just play into the Project 2025 team's hand, and help them deconstruct the government all the more quickly.

The daily multivitamin is absolutely a bandaid on a diet problem on the macro scale. I know my own diet is far from balanced, and I'm likely missing out on more beneficial vitamins and minerals, and I also take a multivitamin as a way of partially remedying it. Not true for all, but likely for many.

This is accurate. Again, I know people who have gotten B12 and B6 supplements filled by a pharmacy and covered by their insurance. It's not universal, but it's something that does happen.

Not being ignorant, I recommend you re-read your original post. You stated categorically that no doc can prescribe vitamins, which is demonstrably false. Doctors can prescribe or recommend lots of things, but not all prescriptions are covered by insurance.

10.02.2025 20:54 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Not sure where you learned they can't prescribe them, I've been prescribed supplements by my doctor before. I think they don't qualify for prescription drug benefits under insurance in OTC tablet form, but injectable B12 is a common one prescribed and covered by insurance.

If you're deficient in a particular vitamin and a change in diet is not doable to resolve it, then supplements are a valid solution. And there's genuine health benefits tied to bringing deficiencies to normal, but unfortunately a lot of people and industries push misleading benefits.

Admitting you made mistakes and working to undo the damage is admirable, and far better than just hiding from it like some of your other former coworkers.

A. Just because people were mislead, does not mean they cannot learn and grow from it. Hate begets hate. Not saying throw them a party, but meeting people with empathy and compassion can go a long way towards shifting their perspective.

This is the kind of activism that can help. Teaching people about the threat this country faces to our freedoms. Next step: get them to pitch in and help, easy entry point is calling your local congressman's local office and leave a message with their staff. They do actually track sentiment from it

THE ASK
This week, between Monday and the vote on Vought, we're asking people from all over the country to plan a visit to Senate State Offices to demand Democrats fight and to hold Republicans accountable for their complicity.
DEMOCRATS MUST USE EVERY PROCEDURAL TOOL TO SHUT DOWN
TRUMP'S AGENDA
Yes, we need Democrats to vote no on Vought's nomination, but no is not enough. Democrats have the power to grind Senate business to a halt and force Republicans to feel the political cost of backing Trump's extremist agenda. Here's how:
1. Deny a Quorum: If Republicans don't have 51 votes in the chamber, Democrats can walk out and shut down Senate business entirely.
2. Block Unanimous Consent: Object to every procedural shortcut, forcing Republicans to take the longest possible route for every step of the confirmation process.
3. Max Out Debate Time: Use all 30 hours of debate on Vought to expose Project 2025, Musk's Treasury takeover, and the funding freeze.
4. Delay and Disrupt: Force roll-call votes, quorum calls, and procedural delays to slow everything down.
5. Blanket Opposition: Democrats cannot continue to vote for Trump's other nominees, helping to install more MAGA loyalists into powerful positions in the federal government while this power grab continues.
No Business as Usual: This is a constitutional crisis. Democrats must abandon the old rules and fight with everything they have.
Bottom line: Senate Democrats must block, delay, and obstruct every step of this process-no cooperation, no easy votes, no fast-tracking Trump's takeover. To learn more about how Senate Democrats can shut down Trump's agenda with procedural hardball, check out our explainer here.

Indivisible is urging people to visit their senators' local offices between now and Thursday to demand that they use every toolโ€”including denying a quorum and blocking unanimous consentโ€”to fight the confirmation of Project 2025 architect Russell Vought for head of OMB docs.google.com/document/d/1...

Fucking do something then. Make quorum calls before every vote. Deny unanimous consent to everything. Roll call votes for every single motion. Do what the GOP did under Obama. Clearly it worked for them.
