Like, do I actually believe the spirits guide me when I do tarot readings or throw the dice? Maybe. Does it bring me joy and a bit of peace to let myself take it more seriously than that? Absolutely. But then I see the echoes of mormonism in those same thought patterns and it complicates things.

I think one of the more difficult things for me as someone with a bunch of religious trauma from being raised to be mormon by a conspiracy brained ass is reckoning with the joy I do still get from engaging with the magical thinking they instilled in me.
