This is something Republicans overall just can’t seem to grasp. They’re convinced every US city is a shithole based off videos that are usually coming from the same concentrated areas. They couldn’t name more than a neighborhood or 2 in most cities, yet speak so confidently on how live is there

This is a direct result of the normalization of Trump and male social media influencers being right-wing coded. I understand this is going to take some time to drill into, but I really hope Democrats are taking this as seriously as they should and are actively working to address it

Also, the market overall didn’t have a terrible day. While the DOW was down 500 points, NASDAQ was barely down and S&P 500 was actually slightly up. There’s not a chance in hell that would be a major story, especially with the market having worse days this week alone.

Yep, this is an important point. Portnoy seems like he’ll likely speak out when the market goes down again, but I haven’t heard much from Rogan, Vonn, etc who a lot of these young men are following. Still need to crack more into that media space
