🤣🤣🤣 Our community theater put on Evil Dead: The Musical a few years ago, and partnered with OneBlood for a blood drive. We handed out “I bled for the Evil Dead” buttons. It was fantastic.

Why are we allowing ourselves to go backwards in time? We have the tools, and have proven that telehealth outcomes can be equal to (in some cases better) than in-patient care. It improves productivity because caregivers don’t have to take off work. I don’t have to close my clinic for my own appts!

Telehealth is something I use to help my patients, and something I greatly benefit from as someone with multiple rare disabilities myself. For it to be available for patients on commercial plans but not Medicare is ageism.

It’s taken so much.

The trade off for lower infant mortality is that some of us who are sicker actually survive!

Disabilities and chronic illnesses like Diabetes, behavior problems, neurological disorders, asthma, etc - all existed BEFORE vaccines. More kids have these now because more people who have those conditions are LIVING TO ADULTHOOD to procreate and pass on their genes.

I don’t really care what caused my neurodivergence. I just want the Epstein files to be released. 🤨

And during all of this, we have fewer disability reporters at national publications than when we started the year.

As a multiply disabled person myself, the stress of managing my own disabilities is awful. I am blessed with a good support system, decent finances, ok insurance coverage, excellent mental health care, and relatively healthy children. And I still feel I’m drowning most days.

My family is not ready to hear that they are all touched by the “tism”. It’s fine. I’ll bide my time. The Emperor will eventually realize he’s naked. 😂

Many parents aren’t even aware of their own neurodivergence until their child is diagnosed. As a mother, I can confirm that parenthood can sometimes be a sensory he🏒🏒. 😅

Have there been any studies on distress levels/sensory processing sensitivities/coping mechanisms in parents of autistic children? Just wondering, since if autism is genetic, it’s likely at least one parent is as well. And that may affect the appropriateness of parental reaction to children?
