They became the "secure the border" campaign, which used to be what Republicans campaigned on before Republicans ran on "mass deportation". These campaign messages are put in place to speak to the manufactured narrative that immigrants are violent and coming to ruin your community.

The Democrats directly targeted the white working class with one of its key messages by adopting a white supremacist position on the issue of immigration.

A strange strategy given that is Trump's forte. People should be more frustrated by this.
