Remarkably figurative by modern standards, it depicts branches and leaves, somehow making it appear more twee and less ferocious and militaristic than most camo patterns.
Romanian soviet-era "spring leaf" camo, a green and yellow pattern that almost looks like it belongs on a Hawaiian shirt, or like a tablecloth from Anthropologie or something.
Congo "Grasslands" pattern, used by DRC Presidential Guards starting around 2010, is highly aesthetic, thanks to its figurative depiction of fern-like branches and leaves in overlapping and alternating colors.
Swedish "M90" camo pattern, uses large, distinctive angular "splinter" shapes, that almost harken back to "dazzle" camouflage techniques once used on warships.
taking my mind off things by getting into obscure, aesthetically-pleasing camo patterns

Good morning! You feel like youβre going crazy because their attempts to bludgeon you into submission with weaponized unreality arenβt working on you.
Keep it up. Youβre doing great.
i've been using insta more like a website that i have to update with art projects once or twice a year (quit tik tok and reels cold turkey bc it was sapping my time and energy away from touching grass)
unplugged entirely from twitter and went all-in on bluesky
no regrets

The Japanese Mario 64 official strategy guide is an incredible thing. "Can we make little hand-made dioramas of all the levels?" "Sure, why the hell not."

The Sora AI thing is proof of something very important: The technology itself is useless without the ability to use the likenesses of real, living, unpredictable people, and the art they create. And the only way to get those likenesses or that art is to summarily steal it.
