I think youβve been really successful. Look at everything youβve achieved! A book, a beautiful baby and a PhD on the way. I did my masters when I was pregnant with and then when my third was a newborn so I have a deep admiration for everything youβve done.

Can I ask you why you chose to do a PhD when youβre already so successful? Iβm really umming and ahhing about whether to try and get a place somewhere as Iβve finished my masters and missing studying but Iβm not sure or should just try and write? Or do both? Or neither? Imposter syndrome is real!

Ok I need advice. Finished my masters this year and I know I want to write and share history but Iβm not sure if I need to do a phd to gain some more confidence to do this. I get massive imposter syndrome and think a PhD might help me feel more of an expert. Or should I just start writing?? Heeellpp

You've been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you.
Oh dearβ¦ At least thereβd be an abundance of clean stones to help with a rescue attempt.

Just reading about masculinity in Victorian times when Iβm presented with how men felt they needed to escape from the boredom of family life so they retreated to a smoking room, a billiard room or even a den. Sounds a lot like a man cave to me. Never realised I hated them before now but here we are
