Thank you for beginning to bring this important issue to light! It is a serious problem in the eating disorder world.
10.02.2026 23:58 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0FYI - it's estimated that 9% of Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime.
That's almost 1 in 10 people you meet will have an ED.
The rates are even higher for those living in larger bodies.
This nuanced review is SO needed and appreciated.
"From a clinical perspective, we have significant concerns that GLP-1s may be misused by individuals with eating disorders and that GLP-1 use for weight loss may, in some cases, precipitate the development of an eating disorder."
π―
But the fact remains: it doesn't matter what you weigh. It doesn't matter if you live in a higher or lower weight body.
Nutritious food & movement benefits everyone.
YES - exactly what constitutes "nutritious food & regular movement" will also look different for everyone!
This is why it's so important to work with a dietitian and other healthcare workers who provide individualized care.
This just might be the biggest lie about health & nutrition
I know many doctors believe this misconception.
I've seen nutrition clients, friends, & family get fooled time & time again
Here's the truth:
EVERYONE benefits from nutritious food & regular movement. No matter your body size. EVERYONE.
Yum! Good idea. I'll have to give it a try too
06.02.2026 16:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It definitely can be histamine-y! I've had the same experience.
I haven't tried PB powder, but a client of mine was just talking about it. Do you like it?
I recommend my clients enjoy PB made with peanuts and salt only.
Other than that, PB is awesome... I'm hoping public opinion has finally caught up π€
I need to check in with you -
We're finally done feeling guilty about eating peanut butter, right?
Cause PB is a super nutritious food, packed with way too much good stuff to even list.
Please tell me you're enjoying it liberally.
Just a little reminder that thinking uses a lot of calories.
If you're extra hungry when the mental load is high, eat that snack or have seconds.
Listen to your hunger cues. Your brain will thank you.
You're so right, stress is a major trigger for psoriasis. It's not talked about enough.

04.02.2026 14:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The top text says "Whatβs missing from the current medical model of autoimmune diseases is:" and the bottom text says "The Bigger Picture". In between is a venn diagram with 3 circles. They are labeled "Autoimmune Disease", "Neurodivergence", and "Disordered Eating". There is a map pin drop in the middle ,where all 3 circles overlap, and an arrow pointing towards it.
The title says "The Bigger Picture:" and the same 3 circle Venn diagram is shown again. Examples of the intersections are listed, such as: Psoriasis, ADHD, and skipping meals; Type 1 diabetes, binge eating, and underdosing insulin; IBD, autism, and ARFID; Lupus, anorexia, and OCD; and more.
Whatβs missing from the current medical model of autoimmune diseases?
The bigger picture.

Or you can just watch your urine color...
If it's light yellow, you're doing a good job staying hydrated. Stay the course.
It's never ceases to fascinate me when folks overengineer their nutrition.
The gut-immune-kidney axis:
"The liver and gut microbiome produce metabolites that are filtered and processed by the kidneys. When this process is altered, it can create toxic byproducts that overburden kidney function."
Ugh, I'm so sorry, Soren! I hope you feel better soon β€οΈβπ©Ή

So proud of my autoimmune nutrition client π₯² We have been working together closely for 3 months.
Daily pain levels went from 7 to 3. Bedridden days dropped from 6-7 days per week to 1. Even their acne improved.
No restrictive diets, "protocols", or intense rules. Just evidence-based interventions

Air pollution increases systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, epigenetic modification, and pro-inflammatory cytokines.
The US federal "government" feigns concern about chronic diseases. Their actions tell the real story.
I agree. I'm definitely ready for a new metaphor.
