13.02.2026 22:26 โ ๐ 173 ๐ 19 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Companies having their own mini AI that they run themselves seems like the saner path forward. What do you think about it?

13.02.2026 18:03 โ ๐ 19 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Yeah I heard about a VC guy who claims to have replaced his assistant with AI agents but they cost $1000/day lol
13.02.2026 18:00 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Which is kind of more in the direction of machine learning which has been around for awhile
13.02.2026 17:57 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Oh yeah, smaller language models seem much more viable. Cheaper to run plus you can target it more accurately to whatever task you need
13.02.2026 17:56 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I kind of sidestep the usefulness question. Even if it's good some of the time, there's no way for it to be profitable unless they charge each user like $2,000/month. Plus due to the nature of LLMs, it's not gonna get cheaper with scale or with improvements. If anything it's gonna get more expensive

11.02.2026 23:39 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm pretty anti-AI but if learning how to use it now doesn't make much sense to me. If it continues to improve (big if) then it's probably going to be used in totally different ways in the future
