Oh my god I'm in love

Every time I go on the flexibility subreddit, I get all inspired to work on my splits

Then I get a couple months into a steady routine with minimal to no improvement and remember that I couldn't do the splits even when I did gymnastics as a kid

She is... not the kind of MIL I had hoped for 🫠 I miss the days when it was all about how I was stealing her only child from her tho

Almost every night since Mamdani's inauguration, my MIL has sent Christian multi-text rants about the evils of socialism and/or Islam. And still she wonders why I don't want her at our house or even around me at all

Every single night when I get back from walking the dog, my hands get too sweaty to hold the switch controller. I'm out here laying my hands on the glass tabletop just to keep from ragequitting

What's funny is that I tend to skew higher in my ratings immediately after reading a book; there are quite a few that I would rate lower now, in retrospect

This is a bit dire on its face (tho unsurprising to anyonr who knows me) but in fairness, quite a few (14 total) books earned between 4 and 5 stars! Four got close with a 4.75 rating. So really, I was quite generous this year

I am still wildly grateful to my FIL for getting it for me, it's such a gorgeous book and SO helpful. My gruesome murder scenes are so much more disturbing now that I can see exact muscle and ligament layouts 🤗

Feeling like I need to dissociate which I am pretty sure means I'll be working on Joke Book again soon. The only question is how to kill the next character. Maybe I'll let fate decide by flipping open to a random page in my copy of Gray's Anatomy
