As they settle into the shield, they look up, as a white substance splats down on top of it. Bird shit. "Oh my god," Avi facepalms as the shield dissipates and, as Eddie Gagnon steps aside, continues, yelling "The -- stupid -- bird!!" "They're here to save you," Aquila says. "From being pooped on." "They were here to save me from being pooped on." "They were here to save you from being pooped on." They look at each other, lightly confuddled.

Today's Avi & Aquila. Transcript follows. Dick Schwartz, his eyes glowing yellow, stands in a void amidst glossy, transparent reels of film strips. Some of the panels on the film strips glow yellow, but none are the right timeline — the golden thread he's looking for. Aquila, amused, asks "...And nobody can tell when he does this?" Dick Schwartz finds the golden thread, the timeline he's looking for, and stares at it, aghast. "We're not usually this visual," muses Eddie Gagnon. Dick Schwartz returns to cognisance, opening his eyes, before dramatically jumping up and demanding -- "Eddie! Put a shield up over you and Avi, NOW!!"

Today's Avi & Aquila. "Oh, hey," Eddie Gagnon says to Dick Schwartz, "you're right. ...I still read about them. It's weird," he continues, turning to Avi and Aquila, "to see you from before--" "Oop." Avi interrupts him, making a cross with the brooms, as Aquila does with her arms, "no spoilers, please." Aquila walks downstairs and greets Dick Schwartz and Eddie Gagnon with open arms. "Hi!" "It's a pleasure." "Likewise." They exchange a pleasant fistbump. "But what are you doing here?" Aquila asks. "Fictional detectives," Avi adds, joining them downstairs, "don't usually appear out of thin air for no reason." "Hold on, I'll look." Dick Schwartz closes his eyes, then dramatically opens them again — instead of their usual blue, they glow a dramatic yellow — to see through time.

"I used to read about you when I was just a kid. "Hi," says his friend. "Avi," announces Aquila, "meet Special Agent Dick Schwartz, and his friend, Agent Eddie Gagnon. They're from the book I was just reading."

The Dream Team. Co-written with David A. Crawley. It's a bright, sunny day on Nox Islia. Overlooking the door and the Castle, we hear, coming from the latter, a bird cooing. "Bird in the Hall again. I think it just lives here now," Avi says. "I'll go get the broom." Inside, Aquila is reading a book. "I'll come help you bully the bird once I finish this section." "Oh? What are you reading?" "Who Killed the Centurion, detective Dick Schwartz, who can see through time, runs into the one case he can't solve that way, the murder of the world's greatest superhero." Avi picks up two brooms from a supply closet. "I'm glad we don't have to deal with that one." Meanwhile, downstairs, a man with curly brown hair and a man wearing a white hat converse. "Where are we, Dick?" "Coo," says the bird. "Oh, watch out for that bird." "Bird? Peckham?" "Coo," says the bird. "No, I don't think this one knows me. Anyway, Eddie, I must've fallen asleep in the bath while using my power again." Aquila looks up from her book. "Dick? Eddie? Power?"

Part 1 of 4 A Peanuts Comic. Once again Lucy has goaded Charlie Brown into trying to kick a football, and (as usual) she jerks the ball away at the last second, sending Charlie flying into the air. This time however Charlie lands heavily on his neck and is killed instantly.

Part 2 of 4 Lucy kicks Charlie Brown to check if he’s dead. Which he is. Exasperated, and worried she’ll be blamed for his death, Lucy begins to drag Charlie’s now lifeless body towards the creek.

Part 3 of 4 Lucy dumps poor ol’ Charlie Brown into the creek and watches him float away.

Part 4 of 4 Lucy heads back to Charlie Brown’s backyard to pick a fight with Snoopy in order to establish an alibi. Unfortunately a disheveled, crumpled man with a cigar is already there. “Miss, have y’seen this dog? He’s best friends with a BIRD. Can you believe that?” That’s right folks. Columbo is here to avenge Charlie Brown.
