Senator Cory Booker concludes his record-breaking Senate Floor speech after 25 hours
Massive applause for Booker
βI rise with the intention of disrupting the normal business of the U.S. Senate for as long as I am physically able,β Sen. Cory Booker, D-NJ, said shortly after 7 p.m. ET on Monday.
He has continued, with the help of questions from Democratic senators, for more than 22 hours, as of 5:30 p.m. ET.
βRace does not provide an accurate representation of human biological variation,β the statement reads. βHumans are not divided biologically into distinct continental types or racial genetic clusters. Instead, the Western concept of race must be understood as a classification system that emerged from, and in support of, European colonialism, oppression, and discrimination.β βIt thus does not have its roots in biological reality, but in policies of discrimination,β the statement says. βBecause of that, over the last five centuries, race has become a social reality that structures societies and how we experience the world. In this regard, race is real, as is racism, and both have real biological consequences.β

Trump argues that the exhibit's statement, below, is unscientific. He's wrong. As a biology professor and population geneticist, I agree with every word of it.
