No one made me this way. But many people tried to prevent me, shame me, and threaten me with an eternity of hellfire if I am myself rather than who they wanted me to be.

And the irony is they say everyone else is being indoctrinated, simply for being different.

I grew up in a conservative Christian home. I went to a Christian school. I had the upbringing conservatives think is necessary to prevent someone from being trans. Yet I am trans and have felt this way as long as I can remember.

A few years ago trans acceptance seemed almost certain. Now its somewhat of a pipedream. Starting to come to terms with the fact that my life will never not consist of fighting for my rights. Just hoping it at least pays off for the next generation
