I have no words. Everyone prepared for the constitutional crisis of the President defying the SCOTUS. The crisis is the SCOTUS being fully aligned with Trump’s vision of presidential power. So here we are.

This is not normal

Laughing in front of cages designed to hold migrants and refugees, many of whom came to this country fleeing extreme violence and poverty, and hoping to raise their children in a more compassionate country. And many of whom followed all the legal procedures to enter the country.

My statement on today’s decision in Trump v Casa:

Supreme Court clears way for states to kick Planned Parenthood out of Medicaid Patients do not have legal standing to sue if a state denies their right to see their preferred medical provider, the court said in a 6-3 ruling.

We can’t be afraid to call this what it is: dangerous. The court’s decision puts lives at risk by stripping basic healthcare from low-income families who rely on Planned Parenthood through Medicaid.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, dissenting in 6-3 SCOTUS birthright citizenship case: "It is not difficult to predict how this all ends. Eventually, executive power will become completely uncontainable, and our beloved constitutional Republic will be no more."
