This marks the end of my first week at @telltalegames.bsky.social as Design Director!

It’s been an incredible week absorbing everything and getting to know the team. Very excited to dig into this project!

I am heartbroken for this team 💔

We are on holiday and planned to visit friends on the team…not the gathering it was going to be. At least I can give hugs in person.

Also incredibly fun when your husband gets the news on vacation while having almost no reception.

This industry is…heartache.

Fun fact @johnebenger.bsky.social @blairbrown.bsky.social : the PC I played with you folks was the same but I altered her story a bit to fit the new campaign setting. Your PCs were in my Session 0. I never found out for certain, but I don’t think things ended well for them 😉

As a surprise for the end of our #dnd campaign, I made portraits of the party in their final forms. Some truly big story twists that greatly impacted our PCs.

We are also a bunch of idiots who often forget to follow up on very important pieces of info or that we have key items to not bring chaos into the world…it balances out…

I wear both. They don’t match at all, but that’s a choice. Apparently, I wear them “backwards” (engagement ring on bottom).

That said, @ccampbellart.bsky.social and I have matching wedding bands. Mine is a thinner width than his.

He’s sneaky like that.

And sometimes - only sometimes because why would that ever be a constant recurrence? - an insane player tries to be overtly clever and digs herself into a horrible, horrible hole.

- Relocated 6x, 3x w/ kids

Yet, I’m still here. Hoping for the best, planning for the worst.

Our D&D party *finally* found the MIA angel they've been searching for (in game 1+ yrs, irl 4 yrs).

And it seems my attempt to kill said angel prior to meeting the party (I had a reason!)...will have consequences.

Context: When a party of trusting idiots and a skeptic attempt to work alongside the maybe BBEG to achieve a common goal. Which then leaves him wondering if he’s bitten off more than he’s bargained for in doing so. (I’m sure this alliance won’t bite us in the ass later.)

So I’ll share a silly thing I made as a holiday gift for my D&D party. Loosely inspired by “Twas the Night Before Christmas” to give me confidence with attempting a poem.

Our idiot party engaging with a possible BBEG who is currently playing nice - and he’s maybe regretting it.

We’re ok for now, thank you though! Finally making some friends and kids are happy (which is what matters!)

We try to stay realistic thinking we can plant roots given we’ve been through so, so many versions of layoffs, studios closures, studio merges, etc. But at some point we have to try. Again.

I feel you, Jill. We’ve moved 5 times since 2013. 3 of those with kids. Bought and sold 3 houses. Now trying to build a network again, in an area notorious for it being hard to do so.

I was hoping the remote possibilities would stick as it helps so much.
