This could have been a really interesting plot point re: Kadaj etc looking for JENOVA cells/reunion theory, because there are still physical remains of Sephiroth out there in the life stream somewhere.

Sephiroth has no legs.

He lost them in Nibelheim Darth Maul style & fell into the Mako reactor
His real body is encased in crystal and all his boss forms float & don’t have legs
Whenever you see Sephiroth in FF7 walking, it’s a clone/projection of JENOVA

His legs are still out there. Somewhere.
