Central Michigan QB Joe Labas takes center stage vs. Western Michigan with Angel Flores out Labas is set to take over full time as Central Michigan's quarterback with his signal caller running mate hurt this week ahead of a huge rivalry.

Of note, CMU is without Angel Flores at QB. That means Marcus Beamon is in line to backup Joe Labas. The plan is to redshirt Beamon, but players can play in four games and still redshirt; CMU has played eight, so Beamon can play last four starting today.

A portion of the CMU negotiated resolution with the NCAA for letting Connor Stalions on the sideline for a game at MSU, the higlighted portion pointing out that Stalions was there to assist CMU in deciphering MSU's calls, not scouting for Michigan.

By FAR the most interested detail in this whole resolution (IMO) is that Stalions was there to help CMU decipher MSU's signs in that game, and not scouting impermissibly for Michigan. (Which, sure?)

With Jadyn Glasser down for the season and Angel Flores out this weekend, it falls to Joe Labas to lead the Chippewas in a rivalry vs. Western Michigan.

It can also be true that we can prize authenticity and more raw, humanizing aspects of people as candidates without that ever being “has a Nazi tattoo.” This really shouldn’t be that difficult!

People really seem to have lost all perspective that there’s a big gulf between “unrealistic expectations of a candidate who never errs” and “we must accept people for the imperfections” that includes not electing guys with a Nazi tattoo to the senate!
