I'm sure they were aware of it. Guess it depends how comfortable they were that they'd prove we're not an MCO club. Only they know that.

That was the plan. They felt last season we were short. Clearly it's not ideal - not claiming it is. But we'll know the result of this before the transfer window re-opens and I'm sure they're planning and doing the groundwork based on both scenarios.
