My pronunciation for “are” and “our” is exactly the same. This is fine until I have to say something like “There are our,” my brain finds the repeating sounds so displeasing that my tongue twists into strange shapes to create a frothing babble of nonsense. The same does not happen to “do do.”

As a child interested in science fiction, I always dreamed we could have a computer spit out goopy recreations of ghibli grasses while I’m doing house work and making money for my boss.

I’d been trying to figure out what was missing from the switch’s animal crossing for years now. But, now that I’ve been replaying the GameCube version I realize I just missed all the villagers calling me dumb.
