So now back on daptomycin/ ceftaroline alone but concerned with mic to dapto as not sure how well it's improved with ceftaroline in vivo. Any thoughts as to next step? ID pharm suggested tygacil but bcx still cleared and afebrile, etc. Just looking for any thoughts. Can give more info too

Hi #medsky. I have a persistent VRE bacteremia patient that I've had trouble managing. Basically has gained daptomycin resistance but countering with ceftaroline. Got to clear with linezolid but now thrombocytopenia developed. Treating as a discitis but also skull base osseous lesion around ICA.

Really concerned about the nomination of #RFK as the head of US HHS especially since he spreads information that contradicts science.

I worry about public health, global health and pandemic preparedness. We need people making decisions who follow science.

shot, but the sky was so clear I forgot about the cold, I was in absolute awe at what I was seeing. The pinky area a 3rd of the way up the Milky Way is the North America nebula and in the top left you just about make out the Andromeda galaxy.
