Sorry, I meant Wisconsin Republican representatives, US senate and house, voted for this despite knowing it harms constituents. I agree that many Republican supporters are so tuned out to reality that they will be shocked when their health care costs go up, rural hospital closes, etc.

Republicans voted to increase our healthcare costs - higher premiums, co-pays, deductibles. They could still choose differently. Ridiculous they have to be pushed so hard to do the right thing.

Let me explain the stakes and how we got here.

Purposefully destroying American institutions. Didn’t expect the Republican legacy to be the whole-sale destruction of America.

For this administration it as purposeful, not a mistake. The pain, the uncertainty, the fear, that is the point. They are trying to break the spirit of America, to make everyone fear reprisals. Stand up together in solidarity before it is too late. No kings, no crowns.

It seems that is the point. Republicans are working to destroy America. Our best institutions dismantled. Military readiness compromised. Troops installed in cities against American citizens. Is Putin directing this with Republican’s complicit? The grand betrayal. What are they being paid?

Trump EMPOWERS people to abuse women, to abuse POC. This is the America Republicans continue to choose. They could make a different choice.

We could have given them that info for free, at any time. All they’ve had to do is ask. Every salesperson knows the rule about 24 questions. When your business is toys and fantasy, you don’t cater to people canceling school lunches and zip tying 6 years olds.

Not front page in the print edition that will be archived. It’s leading as a temporary blip online. Is it that NYT is running scared, wants deniability with this regime, or is it the rich and powerful “naturally” protecting the rich and powerful…

Think local. Find your local Hispanic rights group. Something may already exist. Attend a ‘know your rights’ training, and a ICE verifier training. Volunteer, build community, build trust. Envision a better world that lasts beyond this regime.

I think many are people who sold their souls for HUGE financial incentives. Faustian. They didn’t think about how it was going to change them. Being a POS for your job isn’t healthy. They will either hate themselves or become the POS they thought was just a paycheck.

Esp because they will be held criminally liable for kidnapping Americans and terrorizing people. The leaders seem to get a free pass, but these schmucks will go down. Just like the soldiers committing war crimes. ’Just following orders’ will not protect.

And trumps cronies paid with our tax dollars to hold innocent people indefinitely with no due process, little possibility of getting out to return to their families, no healthcare, rotten food. Follow the money. These companies should be sued, the money given to the victims.
