Everyone following the law and understanding what the law is makes for a far greater society than where one man makes the law and everyone else tries to figure out what that law is and to follow, or not, depending on the winds of the day. Where there is an alternative, I will use the most progressive company available, even if it costs more money because I love being a terrible businessperson. For things where there's a service I need, run by an evil monopoly, I donate an equal amount to something opposing the evil of the monopoly.

I frequently interview people suffering from dementia as part of my job. I wouldn't recommend a guardianship for him yet, as his support system keeps him safe, but if he was living alone? I would definitely question if he would be ok in that situation.
