Anyway, during our monthly trip to Waitrose to buy the usual four items (red pesto, cream of mushroom soup, olive oil and chocolate) I discovered Waitrose own brand chocolate is now made by Tony’s, but comes in square I can independently break up. Hurrah!

H is partial to a bar of Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate. The company’s clever design to make it break into uneven pieces is good in principle, but in practice, I physically struggle to break it. I did ask them about this, and they told me I could buy the smaller (more expensive) bars instead.

Have you come across peoples big feelings about MSG? I don’t want to teach you suck eggs but also I don’t know if it’s passed down the generations.

Regardless of whether they do or not, so much of the premise undergirding programmes about whether aliens exist seems to be the premise ancient people couldn’t possibly have been more clever than we are now, especially outside of Europe. You despair, really.

The fact I’d gone to bed at 01:45 and had to set the alarm for 06:30 is very evident in this post 😂

London has been lovely but I am delighted to be on my train returning the Suffolk, where it the quiet lives. It has been a safe reminder Ipswich is not busy. Slightly people-y at times, but not busy.

The girls themselves voted several years ago to remain a girls only organisation, so I suspect this option would be unlikely.

My experience as a leader within scouts in the UK on including trans children was that people were warm, welcoming and there were well thought out policies.

Only first instance but this feels quite significant - it was lawful, post For Some Women Scotland, to offer trans inclusive workplace toilets.
