The only way to square the circle of simultaneously insisting antisemitism is eternal but *not* finding it in the obvious place, namely, Christian anti-Judaism which would undermine the ahistorical construction of a "Judeo-Christian" synthesis, is to lean hard into Islamophobia. And so they do.

People who refuse to give up using Pharisee as a pejorative remind me of the French folks who refused to give up the term for ghost writer that literally translates to n-work work. There are non-offensive, older alternate, but why switch when it’s been the Done Thing for ages?

The problem is that even tho there’s an alternate, you’ll still find the offensive version in dictionaries as a translation option. This includes Google Translate. Similarly, if you look up Pharisee you’ll still see “hypocrite” as a synonym. Dictionaries aren’t arbiters of social acceptability.

In order to expand the number of viewpoints and better reflect those in field of Automation, nominees from industry and government, female and nonbinary candidates, and candidates from Central and South America, the Middle East, and Africa are especially encouraged.

Nominations should include a resume (not to exceed 3 pages), a complete list of journal publications, previous experience with publications as a reviewer or in editorial capacities, and areas of technical expertise. (Previous experience with T-ASE is preferred, but not a requirement.)

Nomination Criteria:
- Must have expertise relevant to Automation.
- Must have editorial experience with other journals or conferences.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Previous participation in IEEE CASE is strongly preferred.
