An early spring nature collection including a green hellebore flower, primroses, heather, green ivy berries, hellebore, pulmonary, snowdrop, comfrey & a very early grape hyacinth on a dark grey linen background.

We're right at the beginning of the floral calendar: snowdrops (Candlemas bells), hellebores & the first primroses are opening. The whole botanical year is ahead of us & yesterday I saw a bumblebee-it was *just* warm enough for it to forage.
We're on the verge of spring...

Calls for snares ban in England as Scottish ban comes into force National animal welfare charity the League Against Cruel Sports has welcomed the ban on snares which comes into force in Scotland on Monday and called on the UK government to deliver on its manifesto ...

From today, it is an offence to set a snare in #Scotland for the purpose of killing or restraining a wild animal.

Wales banned snaring last year.

#Snares have not yet been banned in England, where 200,000 of these traps lie hidden in the countryside at any one time.
