Then Whitehorse for sure. I have not done Yellowknife but I have been to Wood Buffalo National Park and it is a different kind of place. There are bisons and weird salt plains (and lots of black flies).

You should go to the Yukon. It is extraordinary beautiful. Whitehorse is quite lovely. Kluane National Park is breathtakingly beautiful. Aren't a car and visit northern BC at the same time. Then come through the Rockies and visit Jasper,Banff, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks.
