The easiest way to see for yourself if a model is a glorified autocomplete it to ask it something relevant to spatial logic. Ask it how it might balance an egg, a textbook, a donut, and an automobile. If it were simply autocomplete, the answer wouldnโt make sense.

I think theyโre saying โthe publicโ as in nearby drivers and pedestrians that may be in the path of these cars.

Itโs exactly like Uber: the main company isnโt profitable and it propped up by VC funding, people that use it to do their jobs arenโt helped much by it, and consumers are ultimately doing harm to the climate by using it.

NYC Skyline with the Empire State Building in the center
People walking through greenery in High Line park, NYC.
Subway doors with harsh, blue light shining through into a warmly-lit interior.

The worst part is that thereโs no economic justification, like in past authoritarian regimes.
Voting Hitler into power is taught as a response to hyperinflation and whatnot, but people voted for authoritarianism here because eggs were 10% more expensive??

Now I donโt mean to claim that all of those trials were fair; the Eastern European trials of Nazis were more focused on popular catharsis, not upholding an ideal of justice.
But I donโt think thatโs what OP was referring to, they might have meant the Volksgerichtshof, for Nazi Peopleโs Court.

The Nuremberg trials were fair trials of Nazis held by the Allied powers. In Western European countries, they were largely fair and had humane living conditions.
These look like an inhumane internment or concentration camp that people will be sent to without due process or any real justice.

On Twitter (before my feed filled up with Nazis), I didnโt need to follow many people; just interacting with content I was interested in was enough to make a pretty great For You page.
09.06.2025 23:10 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
I opened it once to find a previous bookmark and my For You feed, which used to be excellent, was full of actual Nazis and Trump supporters.
I really canโt see why anyone stays there anymore.

Thanks! I put a lot of time and effort into making custom feeds, following the same people I followed before, etc., but I still canโt make a timeline thatโs relevant like I used to have.
I wonโt be going back to Nazi-ville, but itโs still tough to use.

Absolutely; another major piece of this is that BlueSkyโs algorithm isnโt as strong as Twitterโs used to be (before it was changed to just show Nazis)

I donโt care for a three-minute segment about a local law on a Sinclair-owned broadcaster immediately following their โterrorism alertโ segments that just have news about brown people, not terrorists.
You have a different standard than I do; thatโs fine.

The PM of New Zealand, my local senator Sean Ryan, etc.
The sort of people who have insightful global or local commentary that Twitterโs algorithm would serve effectively, but BlueSky cannot.
08.06.2025 21:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 5 ๐ 0
Twitterโs algorithm was way better at surfacing those people. I sometimes want to see a post from the prime minister of New Zealand, but I donโt always want to follow them and see everything they share, if that makes sense?
08.06.2025 21:21 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0
I didnโt use Twitter because it was full of worthwhile discussions; the comment section has always been awful compared to Reddit.
I used it because it served me timely posts from smart, connected people. BlueSky hasnโt brought those people over.
