A British immigrant in France, married to an Irish lady. Now a permanent resident. Rowed for Thames Rowing Club in the 80s...
Due to congΓ© annuel (annual holiday)
21.07.2025 11:43 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I suppose the wealthy communicate with governments directly and wield the threat of pulling their companies out of the UK (since they're not paying tax themselves), but the vulnerable only have something to scare the politicians with every election day. It's very one sided and unjust.
08.07.2025 08:03 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Well, exactly! Personally, I now take an empty bottle through security and fill it airside.
20.06.2025 08:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0When BA first came up with this bright idea, the advice was to ask for ordinary tap water which i did. I think the passenger has the right to free water. Is that correct do you know?
20.06.2025 08:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is a very good point! Will travellers from Gibraltar be treated in the same way as those coming from the Channel Islands or from Spain? Also, are UK citizens going to be subject to the Schengen 90/180 day rule?
12.06.2025 06:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So, Gibraltar will be in the Schengen zone with the UK border at the airport. That makes sense...
11.06.2025 18:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Obviously a sensible population
11.06.2025 18:18 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's strange how Brexit betrayals involve making common sense agreements that involve the UK following EU rules, put in place for perfectly sound reasons.
11.06.2025 05:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 07. How would you rate our delivery service?
02.06.2025 11:07 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I rowed with my wife once at Peterborough in a mixed 4-.
It was really hard work, but not because of the girls - my male counterpart was seriously unfit.
We won a round at least, keeping up the TRC tradition at the time. π€£
You'll have Tiger mosquitoes next. We have plenty of both here in southern France unfortunately
31.05.2025 13:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0WTAF? Those poor bees!
31.05.2025 13:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My wife loves rowing with me and it's not a pretty sight.
You do mean arguing don't you? π
I would say the latter, as it's one day belonging to many fathers.
30.05.2025 10:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Huge congratulations Chris
18.05.2025 16:49 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0*of* I meant to say
13.05.2025 16:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can only think that the PM has been told off a public order risk that needs to be calmed down. Not sure he's being successful at achieving that goal....
13.05.2025 16:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Bris emigrating to live in Europe are called ex-pats. Immigrants to the UK are immigrants. As a British immigrant in France, I can't see the difference...
13.05.2025 16:10 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You should rename it "Undisclosed Secrets". It sounds more spicy π₯
13.05.2025 13:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Maybe it's time to point out to the Brexitears that if they did it for the UK, they'd have to do the same for Turkey...
13.05.2025 06:58 β π 11 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Spot on!
11.05.2025 17:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What has happened to the Labour government, they've changed so much once in power? I despair.
11.05.2025 08:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I had it as part of a full Irish breakfast
10.05.2025 07:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There's always Boxty ( which I discovered for the first time in Sligo a fortnight ago)!
09.05.2025 16:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Going off at a tangent again?
09.05.2025 06:46 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you, it sounds delicious. There should be some around us as we're close to the Pyrenees...
08.05.2025 19:42 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What kind of cheese is it? Soft, hard, goats, sheep or cows milk? I'll have to look for it locally here in southern France
08.05.2025 15:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0... and make it snappy!
03.05.2025 12:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you. Purchased...
01.05.2025 12:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ok here in the Tarn (81)
