It would have been my second or third metal show as well. I remember that my friend's dad had to drive us because none of us had our license yet.

They're fantastic live. I first saw them in '01 when they were doing the Pledge of Allegiance Tour with Slipknot, SOAD, and Rammstein (right after Iowa and Toxicity were released). Then I didn't see them again until SNW in '23 and '24. I'm more excited about Acid Bath and Deafheaven this time around

I got a surprise this morning. My wife just told me she bought us tickets to both Sick New World dates next year. She's not much for metal, but she'll spare no expense to see SOAD.

4 maybe? I don't think I'm intimidating, but I'm 6'2" and over 200lbs and no one has ever really tried to start shit with me, so maybe that number is higher than I think.

Every reamping session makes me even more excited about Fathomless II. I absolutely love the way it's coming together. So much so that I couldn't help but share a little work-in-progress teaser of the second song.

I worked at a movie theater in high school when this came out. I watched it on the clock, and still wish I had that 90 minutes of my life back

They were clearly trying for a Tucker and Dale Vs Evil/Shaun of the Dead style horror-comedy, but missed the mark

Last night's movie selection was Death of A Unicorn. It was OK. It felt like it couldn't make its mind up whether it wanted to be horror or comedy, and wound up not being enough of either. There were some fun gore scenes and a few genuine laugh out loud moments, but I doubt I'll watch it again.

I laughed at that one Troma Films music video. The one with the kaiju dicks. I never really cared for their music or their stupid name.

I don't understand it. All Foderas are hand built and very expensive, but not THAT expensive. Most are in the $5k-10k range. It doesn't even have a standard 1/4" jack, just XLR, so you couldn't even play through a lot of amps. And no volume or tone controls either.

Not much public transportation here, so I'd take the car and 6 more Dingwalls. I'd have one for every day of the week, and a bit left over for beer money.

You could buy 2 brand new Honda Civics for that price.

Holy shit. Out of curiosity, I went to Fodera's website to check out the specs on Anthony Jackson's signature bass, and it costs nearly $47,000 to have one built.

I was gonna use a different cab with the Orange, but that Bogner cab sounded so good I just left it.

My lead guitarist bought the Bogner stack recently. I showed up to reamp, and he very nonchalantly said "oh yeah, I got a Bogner" like that's something people just do every day.

It's Sunday, so that means more reamping for Fathomless II. Today is the Bogner Shiva and Orange Rockerverb.

I don't think of it as horror either, but it's classified that way on Rotten Tomatoes. It's listed as "Horror/Mystery & Thriller/Comedy"

I love that movie. I have a few friends that hated it, and I don't understand why. It's a near perfect film in my opinion

Last night's movie selections were The Menu (2022) and Would You Rather (2013). You can never have too much Jeffrey Combs, and he's in peak form for Would You Rather. I'll also watch any movie where Ralph Fiennes plays a villain.
