This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

Women, trans folks, and POC in our armed forces have fought hard to have even a small amount of protection from bigotry, sexism, and sexual assault at their workplace. Hegseth just told them he won't protect them, while sounding the dog whistle to tell predators they can have at it. Shameful.

If anything, these threats make us more sure change is needed. Particularly aiming threats at queer or POC legislators does not make you brave. It does show that you know who gets work done.

Pushing right wing trolls to female democrat lawmakers social media pages to threaten them is despicable. We will continue our work to pass gun violence prevention legislation, but we shouldn't have to do it in terror for ourselves and our friends. You won't take our political will to do this work.

In the words of Speaker Melissa Hortman, "We are the leaders we've been waiting for."

Call a special session, Governor. I invite my colleagues across the aisle to stand with us for the kids of MN. And if they won't, they should have to look us all in the eye while they vote no.

I've waited my whole life for the adults to do something to stop this terror from ripping apart our children's lives. I've watched my own kids have to adjust to a normal that includes active shooter drills. I've watched tragedy after tragedy unfold on the evening news. No more.

I strongly believe we should have a special session to ban assault weapons, binary triggers, and high capacity magazines. And we should institute a buy back program for people who have those weapons.

Exactly right. Equity, accountability, agency... these do not equal "hating" or "roadblocks" unless all you want is entitlement.

We passed the Housing Finance and Policy bill off the Senate floor today with bipartisan support. Now it just needs to pass the House and be signed by the Governor.

What could possibly go wrong? We should be spending zero dollars of taxpayers' money on data centers. Unregulated AI is not a positive for humanity.

I'm proud to be a co-signer of this letter, and horrified we even had to write it. Every Senator who voted to confirm RFK is complicit in this bigoted, anti-science, ableist agenda.

We are legally obligated to balance the budget. The committee I chair (housing) has a 2 year budget of $165M. We cannot absorb the cost if Trump cuts rental assistance that over 20,000 MN families rely on. We will have an overnight homelessness crisis.
