If I were writing one of the blurbs, it would be directing people to take meetings in public locations or GDC lounges, drink safety, and explaining the safety regulations of approved events, as well as explaining what related behavior is against the code of conduct and reportable

Anyway if anyone relevant is reading this, please at least put a warning about drink safety on the website 😭 I hear about like 5+ cases every year (and those are just the ones I know about!). There seems to be only safety info focused on property damage and strangers on the safety page.

Feedback for next year, can you convince them to take out the 5 year limit? Small independently owned companies can be slow growing. The people who benefit from this are companies who make new incorporations every time one goes under.
In the least, I wouldn't count LLCs in the limit.

Thinking on it, it must be bc they are specifically focusing on big money tech startups. The ones that specifically need to hit big in a certain number of years or they flop. I'd have to assume they do not care about slow growing indies (like mine), because our potential short term upswing is lower

This is why I think official meeting spaces and official night events are good, because then the con can control the environment, and the safety, but the higher ups would have to actually prioritize that, and then also communicate that for it to be effective.

I can't stress this enough, Crimes against GDC attendees are much much more prevalent from OTHER attendees, not people outside of it. I know people involved who are working so hard to advocate for systems that help with that, but it's seems GDC itself doesn't want to advertise that that's needed.

I feel bad for anyone affiliated with GDC trying to make it a more inclusive or safer experience, because whoever is making these end decisions clearly does not care about those parts. And the messaging is awful 😭

Are those the new meeting spaces? Honestly I can see a use case in lessening the amount of meetings in hotel suites or public bar areas, I hear those can be really unsafe. I haven't looked into details about how the lounge spaces work though

I'd say the biggest element in the US is suburban development blocking out BIPOC since inception. I don't know if Canada's suburban areas formed differently. There was a lot of racism in the perception of cities before then, but certainly increased by that.

Procedural is generally something created with both rules and data that you've created, with prompts the player creates. Gen is a unknown stolen data set, with rules you are unaware of, that you create an extra set of rules on top of, and is prompted by the player
