I watched the first league game against Rangers in August and couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Players playing his system from the off. They were 3-0 up at Tynecastle. Drew their first 5 games when they should have won a few of those games. I said weeks ago I could see Hearts being 4th!! Now….?

I’ve never seen players sprint at players on the ball so much, leaving huge gaps everywhere as a result.Motherwell just played round us. I think Nancy wants our players to be like that, pass at the latest opportunity,but with a lack of movement there isn’t an out ball. Then looks like no urgency.

2/ The goal we concede is also a good example where Scales bombs forward thinking we had won possession back. Wrong decision, but it is his instruction. It is all about risk and reward. I’m intrigued by it but have as much trepidation about it also. New players will take time to adjust as well.

1/ In fairness it will take several games to analyse the way Nancy’s Celtic play. The first goal against Aberdeen was a perfect example of the high press to win the ball back. Yang loses it but regains the ball in the opposite side of the pitch.
