Although the rest of the conference was in person, we decided to make the keynote hybrid to make it more accessible. Even though we tested absolutely everything the previous evening, we had some frustrating technical difficulties that delayed the start. (3/4)

Her keynote sensitively navigated this extremely difficult subject, sparking necessary and timely conversations. Personally, I found it so inspiring for my own thesis. Thank you to our brilliant keynote speaker, Pauline, who has been incredibly supportive from the very first email. (2/4)

Dr Pauline Henry-Tierney is Senior Lecturer in French and Translation Studies at @newcastleuni.bsky.social. A #FeministTranslation studies scholar, her research focuses on the translation of contemporary women’s writing in French, in particular transgressive and explicit texts. (2/5)
