For 546 billion we could get HS2 to Carlisle at a push!

That might be true with the wider electorate at large. But those inner London safe Labour seats like Starmer's own one, Streeting's etc could be vulnerable to a big tactical vote to the Green's as the risk is reduced of Reform winning those seats with a split.

He got an uninterrupted free hit on Kuenssberg on Sunday. Was pretty shameful to be honest. The first thing they will do with a whiff of power is privatise the BBC or defund it to its bare bones.

Yep, when media commentators all on 200k+ complain about train drivers on 60k, they are very disingenuous or extremely thick that they can't comprehend that they are responsible for hundreds of people travelling at 100+ mph on 600 tonnes of equipment. They should be paid more!

Sultana has already torpedoed her chances of getting any wider left wing support with her atrocious stance on Ukraine and NATO from a couple of days ago. If Polanski is clever he would have Sultana & Corbyn at arms length. She will lose her seat in 4 years and that will be it.

We don't have a media to sell the benefits - that's the UK's problem. For example my wife is a teacher. If I paid an Β£300 in tax/ni. Our household would get this back in the pay rise she could get plus would remove the huge stress via having more TAs, SEND support, maybe free after school clubs

My wife's step-brother-in-law Simon. Decked out in preppy business casual. Man bun included.

True, It was more to do with aligning with him is the political kiss of death. have had debates previously with friends who really rate her. I have always thought she was a great activist but a terrible politician.

Labour fetishises the northern town working class of mass, organised labour. They have failed to come to terms that this hasn't existed since the 80s. Their base is metropolitan liberal service economy professionals and public sector and they kind of hate it.

The touch of Corbyn. On the same political career trajectory as Laura Piddock.

Yes, Quiet Riot listener but may have missed your view on this! Great minds and all that! πŸ˜„. The way the news cycle works here, it is definitely a banker. Plus does Farage really want to be PM? 5 years of not earning much, no holidays and all the scrutiny and by the end of it will into his 70s?

I could be wrong, but I get the impression he's neck deep in Russian money and favours and this is being banked by Labour especially in time for the next GE. It would possibly suit the Tories to some extent as well.

There's a spare room at Wakefield now that Watkins has vacated. Not sure how we have to sort out his horsey ex-missus as well who was getting spending money from Epstein as well.

Pretty shameful the politicising of these poor girls. Reform are desperate to keep this firmly on the pakistani gangs to avoid widening of scope. Anyone brought up in a northern town in the 80s will know it was rampant amongst white males as well. The Rita,Sue and Bob too behaviour was not uncommon

RIP Dave Ball. Hard to imagine that Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret came out in 1981 - a work of genius. A tale of bedsits, squats, a dark, wet, sleazy and unforgiving Soho.

He's well and truly swallowed the line 'We are largely a socially conservative country' and bases his judgement through this lens. He's just so unimaginative. Shame he went to Uni a few years too early as he looks like a man who could really have done with some acid house in his early life.

Took them that long to put together a focus group of men who all look like Fred Dibnah to ask them if they thought it was a bad idea and maybe racist perhaps?

From what they've been saying about Brexit recently, it wouldn't surprise me if Labour dropped in a customs union with the EU before the next GE as a sweetener if they aren't shifting in the polls.

Or us. Mone, Gove, Prince Andrew, Vennells, Norman Bettison for Hillsborough, any of the local politicians or cladding suppliers for Grenfell. No wonder our trust in politics is rock bottom.

Yeah he was awful. It's mental how they (The Tories) double down on it. They will never be a political force again until they can reconcile that its a shit show. As their core vote in the home counties have been picked off and will continue to be picked off by the Lib Dems.

I am in Horsham that was true blue but became Con-LIB marginal especially after brexit and as more people moved there from London where they voted Labour by default but knew that was a bit much for the rest of constituency and voted tactically for the LDs.
