I think you’re assuming everything goes right with our current squad. Sure you can say I’m doing the same thing with Eze but if he’s there, it both brings more reliability that enough things will go right, plus it gives us a different kind of left 8/winger if the rice/merino model isn’t working.

Sure but he can play in like 4 different positions across the attack. Is kinda a similar profile to Trossard but 3 years younger. And can fulfill the Odegaard creativity role if Ode has another rough patch or just needs a break. I think he would be an incredible replacement/upgrade for Trossard.
