WH40k is literally obligated to get bigger and louder and dumber and crazier with every iteration, and I love that. It's a setting where what the Death Star is capable of would be considered quaint.

So it only makes sense everyone is a 9-foot-tall war machine (oops I mean 10-foot, no wait 11-foot, etc) with extra hearts and lungs that are constantly coming back from the dead but also always dying.

I think the most charming thing about Warhammer 40k is, at its heart, the lore feels like two five-year-olds constantly trying to one-up one another.
