I most definitely was never a fan of the Harper government, but the creation of the registered disability savings plan (RDSP), thanks primarily to the minister of finance at the time, the late Jim Flaherty, was a landmark for people with disabilities.

I feel like too many Canadians think the end of CUSMA will be the end of the world. There was massive trade between our two countries before CUSMA and its predecessor and this will continue. Canada is not in a particularly weak negotiating position here.

Like a cornered animal, and the Trump craziness is going to increase this year. Canada will need to stand strong.

The list of Conservative policy positions noted in the article *should* ensure the current iteration of the party will be soundly rejected by the broader Canadian public.

I read thru to the end. I thought it was a pretty balanced analysis. Simply pointing to detractors re Carney’s speech doesn’t imply Wherry / CBC was showing support. Note the subhead: “Sovereignty might not mean much if Canadian leaders have to forever hold their tongues.”

Easy to imagine what would have happened if she decided to not stop, and instead tried to pull left and drive past.

I don’t comment on all issues, and no, I didn’t comment on these. But I’d be in favour of increasing capital gains and a luxury tax. I did recently push back on the Liberal position that high housing prices need to be maintained. Does that pass your purity test?
