They are using DC-10 aerial tankers in LA. Check out todays (01-11-2025) LA Flights broadcast on YouTube which shows a DC-10 tanker making at least one drop just north of LAX.

A really good film, even with it's flaws. To me, its strength is showing the Japanese perspective of the move to attack the US. I watch every December 7.
