Always wanted to learn piano so I took my first lesson last week. I know basically nothing (not even how to read music) so this is a wild new adventure for me!

I haven’t. I’m hoping to teach this at the high school where I work and need to work with limited space and supplies, so I’m trying to go basic! (No band locks, etc). Weighting the heddle worked wonders and seemed to solve the issue.

Attempting to practice band weaving on a little laser-printed heddle, but no matter how I tie things up or adjust the tension, the heddle wants to spin around. How can I avoid this? Or is this just part of weaving in this set up? #weaving #bandweaving #heddleweaving

Looks way more abstract than anticipated with the multiple pickup colors and multiple background colors! Very fun to play with a whole palette!

A 16” rigid heddle with a dishcloth project on it. The warp is mostly a Peachy pink with think vertical stripes of blue, purple, and green. The weft is like green. About 4” of woven cloth is visible coming up from the front beam.

Loving the stripes! My math was off and I ran out of peachy pink, so the stripes aren’t centered and some are narrower than intended, but it’s all good. Hoping to get 3 dish towels/ napkins out of this warp! #rigidheddle #weaving 🧶
