That bill was signed into law by Donald Trump.

Workers will be paid.

This chaos is a distraction from Trump's failure to secure a deal to lower health care costs.

Bondi refuses to answer questions about allegations Trump's border czar Tom Homan took $50K in cash in exchange for his promise to funnel government contracts to "businessmen" who turned out to be FBI agents in 2024. After Bondi became AG, the investigation was terminated.

NEW: Illinois sued to block Trump’s attempt to send up to 400 Texas National Guard troops to Chicago, arguing the deployment infringes on its sovereignty. Illinois said the deployment would only cause more unrest and increase mistrust of the police.

It’s of note that during tonight’s hearing the DoJ didn’t even try to make the case that changing conditions on the ground in Portland warranted the CA National Guard. Instead they relied on legal technicalities. Proving again that what they say in court is different than lies they tell the public.
