Iโ€™m in the lower mainland today - a hub for wood manufacturing.

Itโ€™s overlooked, but Surrey and Langley are key to our forest economy, with world-class value-added products coming from right here.

Weโ€™re going to see the operators who will be key to the future of #ForestryBC.

It is well established in the contemporary period that a huge majority of political/ideological-rooted terror incidents in North America is from right-wing, not left-wing perpetrators.

A graph of number of cars per household and average transportation costs per household. Zero car households spend under $3k, single vehicle households spend almost $14k, and two or more car households spend $30k!

Cars expensive! Transit cheap!

A new study finds that high transportation costs are driven largely by owning vehicles and people who live by rapid transit have a lower cost of living.

We're absolutely shocked!

(Just kidding, we aren't surprised at all.)

One thing I don't miss about Preston Manning is him always saying "the west" when he obviously means "Alberta" or "the prairies."

Stop dragging BC into your grievances, Preston. You're alienating us.

US/Canada vehicle crossings saw a pronounced drop in year over year volumes of Canadian residents, especially in the same-day segment. In total this February there were about 350k fewer Canadian residents crossing into the US than the year prior (23% drop). Not much change for US resident crossings.

Vancouver mayor plans freeze on new supportive housing in Downtown Eastside as part of revitalization bid | CBC News A plan to put a freeze on new supportive housing units in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside is drawing criticism from those who live and work in the community.

Homelessness is a physically and mentally punishing condition. Ken Sims plan is reckless and cruel.

This would be a disaster.

Vancouver is in a housing crisis, largely driven by cities misusing their powers to erect exclusionary walls around themselves. The last thing we need is MORE exclusion.

The only possible effect from this is more homelessness. It is cruel and reactionary.
