Ken Sim won’t be defeated by posts, polls, or prayers. He’ll be defeated in a vote.

That takes conviction in a single progressive candidate who can unify this city.

Very important proposal for bus signal priority in Vancouver by Mayoral hopeful @wazaroff.bsky.social running for @onecityvan.bsky.social. Transportation equity means prioritizing transit that’s moving a LOT more people in a lot less space. That’s ironically better for EVERYONE, including drivers.

I'm proud to accept the endorsement of former City Councillor, Mayor, Leader of the Opposition, and Premier of BC, Mike Harcourt.

Mike Harcourt governed this city during a time of great change and great optimism. We need big changes in Vancouver. And we need to bring that spirit of optimism back.

Kate Hammer: who is the politician to watch for 2026?

Richard Zussman: So, I think it's going to be William Azaroff. So, this is a guy who a lot of people may not be familiar with right now, but he may be the mayor of Vancouver in a year from now.

I recently had the chance to chat with @wazaroff.bsky.social who is running for mayor. He is smart, has great judgement, and spends his time providing affordable housing for those who need it. He would make an excellent mayor.

OneCity mayoral candidate William Azaroff is building support The CEO of affordable housing nonprofit Brightside Community Homes Foundation has big plans for Vancouver.

The headline is "Building Support." I swear I didn't pitch that pun, though as a housing guy, I do appreciate a good dad joke. Thanks to the Straight for making me look reasonably mayoral.

I'm thinking today of the dozens of CoV team members that Ken Sim has fired, right before the holidays, thanks to his election-year budget stunt.

Workers keep us moving. We need to invest in our city and its services, and we need great people working for our city to do that.

The results are clear. Painted lanes lead to more cyclists being killed or seriously injured. Cycle tracks (i.e. protected lanes) are much safer and lead to huge increases in cycling.

This is data from Vancouver. Our politicians should stop ignoring it.

I'll be speaking today at the hearing for the Social Housing initiative - championed by OneCity's @christineboyle.bsky.social.

Big shocker: I support it! It means more affordable, non-market homes in neighbourhoods across the City. That means lower rents - and homes for people, not profit.

Bligh has a decent amount of support from the province and feds (more than Sim or Allam at this point), which could help.

But her 6 years being a supporter of Ken Sim, and getting elected under both the NPA and ABC banners, means it’ll be difficult to get support from local left-wing parties.
